WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

I have always loved sports and training! My first ever sporting passion was Figure Skating back in Sweden as a little girl. From the age of 5 to the age of 12 I trained extremely hard 6 days per week - and although it may look pretty on TV - figure skating is a very physical sport!

In high school, I was introduced to soccer and ultimately took the leap from the ice to the grass as I just loved the team aspect of this new sport. I loved having team mates and a supportive crew around me to share both wins and losses with.

By the age of 17 I had sprained my ankles so many times that they were completely unsuitable for any more soccer and I joined a gym for the first time! I remember walking into my first group fitness class – and absolutely loving it! I was given a training program by a Personal Trainer and did both weights and heaps of different group classes. I remember thinking that I’d like to one day become one of those instructors on the stage! It just looked like so much fun to teach, motivate and train with a room full of people!

PHYSIOTHERAPY

I have always been fascinated by the human body and movement, by its musculoskeletal and physiological systems and completed a Physiotherapy degree at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. It was also during these years at university that I started my career as a group fitness instructor.

GROUP FITNESS

I started out teaching old school freestyle aerobics and step, but have since moved towards Bodypump, Rpm and Bodybalance. These days I also teach Yoga, which I absolutely love!

PUBLICATIONS

I have featured on the cover of Women's Health & Fitness Magazine as well as Australian Iron Man Magazine (with husband Mark, Health Man Mark) and have contributed with several editorial articles/workouts in print and produced video content for their websites.

MY PASSION

I currently work as a Personal Trainer at a Physiotherapy Practice called PHYSIOLOGIC on the Gold Coast, Australia. I train people of all ages and fitness levels, and of course love to help clients rehabilitate and prevent injuries through training techniques based on Physiotherapy. I am a firm believer that physical activity is the BEST medicine for a variety of illnesses and conditions of the human body! Through exercise, we can prevent, improve and heal hundreds of conditions in the musculoskeletal, neurological and cardiovascular systems, plus a variety of mental health issues too.

I also train many clients preparing for bodybuilding competitions. I have competed many times myself, in the Figure category, and placed 3rd in the Musclemania World Competition in Las Vegas in 2015.

I also very much enjoy Coaching clients online, as I can assist people from all over the world to reach their health and fitness goals.
